The Tamil Nadu Premier League 2022 has been entertaining the fans with several mouth-watering games. The matches are coming thick and fast with teams scrambling to move towards the top in hopes of qualifying for the later stages. July 10th saw two of these games.
Let’s look at the match report of the same.
TNPL Match 14: Tiruppur Tamizhans vs Nellai Royal Kings
The table-toppers NRK clashed with ITT in the first match of July 10th. NRK won the toss and elected to field first. The ITT team had a poor start with both their openers S Siddharth (8) and S Aravind (0) departing early on. The next batters Subramanian Anand (15) and Maan Bafna (37) steadied the innings but the former was dismissed by a sensational Eswaran K.
The next-in-line batters P Francis Rokins, Tushar Raheja and M Mohammad came up with 13, 18 and 10 respectively to take the ITT score to 117/8.
Coming on to chase this small target seemed quite easy for the table-toppers as they reached the target in just 15.4 overs. The in-form batters Baba Aparajith came up with a quick half-century (63 off of 46) supported by Laxmesha Suryaprakash (28) to nullify the ITT bowlers. In the end, captain Baba Indrajith (5) and Ajitesh G (10) were able to take the team across the finish line completing their fifth win of the season.

TNPL Match 15: Ruby Trichy Warriors vs Lyca Kovai Kings
In the second match from July 10th, the lower table teams with two points each i.e., RTW and LKK clashed. Asked to bar first, the RTW team got a good start from their openers Amith Sathvik VP (18) and S Santosh Shiv (28). The two however could not build a big score on their decent start. Murali Vijay showed his class once again and scored a sensational 61 off of just 35 balls including three boundaries and five sixes.
None of the other batters however were able to support him and the team could only reach 135/10 on the scoreboard. The LKK team chased down the target with three overs to spare on the back of a decent contribution from every batter.
Ganga Sridhar Raju (27) and Sai Sudharsan were the top scorers with 27 runs each. Earlier Abhishek Tanwar came up with a bowling figure of 4-19-3 to restrict the RTW team to a low score. He was adjudged the player of the match.
