Big Bash League

After being used in the Women’s BBL, the freshly introduced “Electra” stumps—known for their eye-catching extravaganza of color—have made their Big Bash League debut. Innovative stumps and bails are expected to provide a thrilling touch to pivotal periods in the games.

The main characteristic of the “Electra” stumps is their capacity to flash numerous colour combinations and tints, which act as visual clues for distinct in-game decisions. Important occurrences like no-balls, wickets, boundaries, as well as the interval between overs are all included in these judgements.

The “Electra” stumps address a significant problem in the game in addition to stunning with their dynamic displays. They do away with the necessity for the bulkier magnet-driven “Zinger bails,” averting situations in which the bails are unable to come loose when struck. This invention guarantees a more dependable and seamless cricketing experience. Take a look at the five instances when the fans and players can see these new colours on the electra stumps.

1) No-ball: Red and white lights smoothly scroll along the length of the stumps.

2) Out: The stumps will flash in a vibrant red before igniting in a burst of color.

3) Boundary (four): A dynamic color shift, where all colors flash in an alternate pattern.

4) Six: An upward motion of all colors, creating a visually striking display.

5) Between overs: A pulsating effect alternating between purple and blue scrolls, signaling the interval between overs.

Before the game, Michael Vaughan and Mark Waugh, participated in the ceremonial unveiling of these innovative stumps. During the course of the game, the “Electra” stumps are intended to display five different visuals.
