Adelaide Strikers Women are currently taking on Melbourne Stars Women in the 26th match of the Women’s Big Bash League 2022. Batting first, Melbourne Stars put on some great performances in the first innings. However, Tess Flintoff was the star of the show, with her quick-fire half-century.

She became the fastest to complete a half-century in the history of the Women’s Big Bash League. It took her just 16 balls to reach the milestone, and she got there with a six on the last ball of the innings. She hit a full toss delivery over long-on to clear the fence by some distance.

Flintoff finished her inning with 51 runs in 16 balls, including six boundaries and three hits over the boundary rope. She contributed to the Stars’ first-inning total of 186/5. The video of Flintoff’s six on the last ball to get to her fifty has gone viral over the internet.

Women’s Big Bash League’s official Twitter handle posted the video of the six. “THE FASTEST FIFTY IN WBBL HISTORY! Tess Flintoff just whacked 51no from 16 balls,” read the caption of the tweet.
