In a recent video posted by the Indian player she could be seen singing the Bollywood song, “Channa mereya” in the Melbourne Starts team bus. Her singing skills seem to be quite commendable, but what is even more interesting is her Australian teammate singing along to the Hindi song with Rodrigues.

The video is from Melbourne Stars’ way to the Melbourne derby when the team was travelling through the Western Highway to Ballarat on Thursday. The clip has been shared with a caption, “Went a lil Desi with the Stars. How good are they at Bollywood songs?! Also such a good win today!! We keep going.”

The two video show, Rodrigues singing the song with a guitar in hand in the middle of the bus while her teammates sing along to the popular number from the Bollywood movie “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.” The Australian cricketers seem to have listened to the song earlier as they could be seen singing along to the catchy part and recreating the dance step of the song.

The post has grabbed a lot of eyeballs on Rodrigues’ Instagram and Twitter handles. Even Rodrigues’s teammates from the India Women’s team commented on the video. Renuka Singh, India’s fast bowler said, “Heh hehe cute Jemimah Rodrigues.”

Harleen Deol also commented, “Hhahaha so cute.” Among the popular commenter was the pro golfer Vani Kapoor who said, “Precious Memories for life.”

As for the game that took place later, Melbourne Stars thrashed Melbourne Renegades by 6 wickets. Renegades were bowled out for 91 runs in the first innings on the back of impressive bowling by Sophie Day who got 4 wickets. In response to the target, the Stars got past the finishing line after having lost just four wickets.
