Virat Kohli to miss the next two Tests vs England as well

virat

The India vs England series is levelled 1-1 where it can be anybody’s game in the next three fixtures. The first Test saw the England team make an incredible comeback in the 2nd innings which resulted in one of the best Test victories for the visitors. However, the Indians made a solid return in the second Test which got them back in the series after a disappointing loss. The next game is to be played in Rajkot where both the teams will want to get ahead of each other in the series. The Indians are still yet to announce their squad for the third fixture that will start on the 15th of February at the Saurashtra Cricket Association(SCA) stadium.

Though we have seen some great performances by the Indian players from the likes of Yashasavi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Jasprit Bumrah in the series, there is still one player who the fans are waiting to see in action. The man is none other than Virat Kohli who had to miss the first two Tests due to personal reasons. Virat has had an equally great time in Test cricket where he has scored he has scored 8848 runs in his 113 matches at an average of 49.16. The fans also must be waiting to see the king bat especially against a side who he has conquered in the past.

Kohli to miss the next two Tests

Unfortunately for the fans, the wait for the former India skipper to stamp his authority will still continue, since Virat is also set to miss the Test in Rajkot and the next one in Ranchi as well. This is absolutely heartbreaking for everyone who wants to see Virat on the field. This means that there might not be a lot of changes in the upcoming eleven as well. However, there is some positive news on the sidelines where the likes of KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja are recovering and will most likely be available for the next game as well.

There will still be fans who would like to see Virat play against this England team and get some runs under his belt, but it looks like the people will still have to wait for the king in the Test side. There might be many talented players who can still give some great performances, but Virat will still be the batter everyone would want to see on the big stage. After all the 33-year-old player has made a big impact on the team and the fans who support him in every game he features in. We might still have to wait for a bit to see him play, but the series will still be on and the excitement is already built after two fantastic games of Test cricket.
