MS Dhoni was hailed as the man with Midas touch as India enjoyed a golden period under his captaincy. He led the ‘Men-in-Blue’ to lift the first-ever 20-20 World Cup in 2007. India won the coveted ‘Test mace’ for the first time in 2010 for finishing as the top-ranked team in the Test rankings under MS Dhoni.
Dhoni further ended the 28-year-long wait for the ODI World Cup trophy in 2011 guiding India to victory in the final with his stupendous knock of 91 off 79 balls. The Ranchi-born cricketer added another feather to his cap as he led a young team India to a Champions Trophy victory in 2013. It would be extremely difficult for any other captain to replicate this remarkable achievement.
