IPL 2024 Auction: Remaining purse, available foreign slots and squad strength of all ten teams
The players auction will take place on December 19 at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai
After a full day of drama, Indian Premier League franchises have announced their final retention lists. A total of 85 players have been released by the ten teams after the deadline. Amid huge speculations about Hardik Pandya’s homecoming to the Mumbai Indians, the Gujarat Titans retained him, spicing things up on Sunday.
However, Royal Challengers Bangalore have gone for a huge overhaul as they have released key bowlers like Josh Hazelwood, Wanindu Hasranga, and Harshal Patel. They will be going into the auction with a huge purse of INR 40.75 crore. Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants will go with the least purse in the upcoming auction as they have just 13.15 crore INR remaining. Chennai Super Kings: 31.4 Crore
After leaving some quality middle-order batters, the Chennai Super Kings will look to cover this gap in the upcoming mini-auctions. The team has a huge purse of 31.4 crore to cover six slots, including three foreign ones.

Despite retaining skipper Hardik Pandya, news reports suggest that the team has traded him to the Mumbai Indians for an all-cash deal. This will give them an additional 15 crore in the auction to cover seven slots, including two foreign.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore will need to cover their bowling aspect once again. After releasing all of their key players, the team has reportedly traded Cam Green for a whopping 17.5 crore. If it happens, then they will have to cover six slots, including three foreign, in 23.25 CR.

The Mumbai Indians had one of the best times in the trades. They have reportedly roped in Hardik Pandya from the Gujarat Titans, traded out Cam Green to RCB, and earned an extra 2.5 crore for auctions too.
