Asia Cup 2022 has begun with Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan as the curtain raiser for the mega event on August 27th. More than a billion cricket fans, however, are waiting eagerly for the second match of the tournament when two giants of the game, India and Pakistan go head to head.

India vs Pakistan Team News:

India have been on a mission to get back to the top following the Indian T20 League. They have focused on giving game time to as many players as possible. Having toured many countries over the past couple of months, India would be hoping to win silverware in the Asia Cup.

The squad has the right mix of experience and young guns to achieve the target. The team, however, will be missing the leader in bowling with Jasprit Bumrah having been ruled out of the tournament due to an injury. All of the other main players, though, are available.

For Pakistan, the scenario is quite similar too. They will also be without a very important player in Shaheen Afridi, who was ruled out with a knee injury. Babar Azam, the number one T20I batter would be hoping to lead the country to a big win at the start of the tournament.
