The Indian team is all geared up for the eagerly-anticipated Asia Cup 2022 in the UAE. The mega event is scheduled to start on August 27th with India playing its first match against the arch-rivals Pakistan on August 28th.

A new video doing the rounds on Twitter shows the Indian team arriving in Dubai for their first match at the Dubai International Stadium. In the video, the players led by Suryakumar Yadav could be seen walking toward the training facilities.

Yuzvendra Chahal who is one of the most likeable characters in the team is often seen interacting with players of opposition teams which was also the case here as he could be seen interacting and hugging the Afghanistan duo of Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan. While Hardik Pandya and Virat Kohli also appeared to have a short chat with Rashid Khan.

In another instance, the former Indian captain Kohli was seen shaking hands with the Pakistan captain Babar Azam while the rest of the Pakistan squad watched with a smile on their faces.

The hotly anticipated Asia Cup just days away

The competition between these two would be a sight to behold and many are expecting the Indian batter to channel his past self and come good with the bat. Meanwhile, Azam continues to climb the chart and sits at the top in the T20I rankings.

Asia Cup will be played in the T20I format this time around and would be a good chance for all teams to test their mettle before the upcoming T20I World Cup in Australia later this year.

India look like the favourites for the tournament having won it seven times already in the past. Two-time winners Pakistan are equally capable of going all the way to clinching the coveted trophy.

Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan meanwhile would be looking to upset one of the bigger teams and announce their presence among the very best.

Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the Asia Cup 2022 with an injury meanwhile Shaheen Afridi suffered the same fate and had to drop out of the tournament.
