India and Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma is one of the fun people to be with. Over the years, he has pulled off a lot of pranks on his teammates. Not to forget, Virat Kohli once said that Sharma is a person who forgets his stuff on a daily basis. Meanwhile, during the 1000th game of the IPL history between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals, Sharma almost took off with a fan’s phone.

Apparently, he borrowed from a fan to take a selfie as there were separators between the spectators’ area and the players’ path to change rooms. However, after clicking the selfie, the India skipper took off for a moment. However, the fan reminded him to give his phone back.

Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians won the 100th IPL game

Meanwhile, in the 1000th scheduled game between MI and RR on April 30, the 2008 winners won the toss and elected to bat first. Thanks to Yashavi Jaiswal’s maiden IPL hundred, the team reached 212/7 at the end of the innings. Apart from him, three players failed to cross the 20-run mark while five players failed to reach the double-digit mark.

In reply, despite losing the birthday boy, Rohit Sharma early, the likes of Cameron Green, Suryakumar Yadav, Tim David, and Tilak Varma helped the team chase down the target with three balls to spare

“It was very pleasing to see how we chased it down today. We have got the ability and back ourselves to chase those kinds of scores. It was really pleasing to see the chase. Its a big shoe to fill, Polly has done it for a long time but Tim has all the attributes to become a great player. He is a great guy to have,” Rohit Sharma said in the post-match about Tim David.
