In the second day of the ongoing second Test between India and England, the home team stamped their authority late in the day. At the start of the day, the Asian started with 336/6 runs on the board. After batting for one and a half hours, the team was bowled out for 396 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his maiden Test double hundred.
In reply, the Three Lions had a great start as they were 114/1 at one stage. Zak Crawley (76) was going well and dominated the Indian bowlers. However, his wicket triggered a collapse and the team was reduced to 136/4. Meanwhile, at the end of the 31st over, with 143/4 on the board, India skipper Rohit Sharma was heard cussing at his players as they were suspected of indiscipline.

In the third session, England were bowled out for 253, trailing by 143 runs. Jasprit Bumrah took a six-wicket haul while Kuldeep Yadav took three and Axar Patel took one. For the first time in many years, Ravichandran Ashwin didn’t take any wickets at home. In the end, Sharma and Jaiswal added 28 runs, and the home side, trailing by 0-1 in the series, is leading by 171 runs.
