The last match of the Super Four stage in the Asia Cup 2022 saw Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by five wickets. After bundling out Pakistan for just 121 runs in their innings, Sri Lanka chased it down with three overs to spare. There were many moments from the match which were loved by the fans. However, one particular incident involving the Pakistan seamer Naseem Shah has been going viral on the internet.
During the match, Shah, who was rested for the game, was seen providing drinks to the on-field players in the second innings. Seeing the fast-bowling sensation near the boundary rope, fans began pestering him for a selfie. After numerous requests, Shah began asking for phones from the fans. Seeing the Pakistan star finally agreeing, people gave him their phones thinking he will click a picture and return it back to them.
However, the 19-year-old took the phones and didn’t return it back to the fans. The reason behind the speedster’s act was that the fans had angered him with their constant pestering. The video of the entire incident has surfaced on the internet.
