Fights in NBA, or any sports for that matter, are a common thing. However, things get ugly when the fights become physical. A similar incident in the NBA has made headlines, with a video of Draymond Green punching a teammate going viral.
TMZ published a video on Friday of Green punching Jordan Poole, one of his teammates, during practice this week. Green is seen standing on the wing during a play stoppage, while Poole is on the baseline in the video. Poole shoved Green after he walked over to him and bumped his chest. Green then took a swing with his right hand before collapsing to the ground behind the basket.
When speaking at a news conference on Thursday, Golden State general manager Bob Myers acknowledged that there had been an altercation between the two players. He went on to say that any disciplinary action taken against Green would be handled internally.
“Look, it’s the N.B.A. It’s professional sports. These things happen. Nobody likes it. We don’t condone it. But it happened,” Myers said.

Green later apologised in a team meeting attended by the players and coaching staff, according to Myers. On Thursday, he did not participate in team practice.
“I’ve actually seen a really good group. For the people who went to Japan with us, it’s actually one of the best vibes we’ve had in my 12 years here as far as camp and health and mental health and camaraderie. But it’s unfortunate, and I’m not going to deny it. It’ll take some time to move through it, but we’ll move through it and move forward and I’m confident that we will,” Mayers said.
The 32-year-old is a four-time All-Star and one of the NBA’s most divisive figures. He is a 6-foot-6 forward with unique passing abilities for someone his size. Green, who has spent his entire career with the Golden State Warriors, has frequently stated that he knows only one way to play — with force, by pushing acceptable limits.
