Virat Kohli went on a record-breaking batting rampage during the 2023 ODI World Cup. In 11 matches, Kohli scored an incredible 765 runs, including two hundreds and six fifties. With this incredible feat, he broke the previous record held by his boyhood hero, Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin had made 673 runs while playing in the 2003 World Cup. India’s loss to Australia in the World Cup final in Ahmedabad prevented Kohli from winning another World Cup trophy. Despite his individual achievements and being selected as the Player of the Tournament, he could not add the title to his cabinet.
