David Warner, the experienced opener for Australia, has been very specific about working hard and extending his tenure alongside the senior national team. Warner reiterated that he still has a lot left in him even if his time as a Test cricket player is coming to an end, dismissing rumours about his white-ball cricket future.

With his social media message, Warner expressed gratitude to supporters for their help throughout India’s successful World Cup campaign. He wrote, “See you in 2027” while replying to one of the comments on social media. 

The left-handed opener, who scored 535 runs, including two hundreds and a pair of fifties. He played a crucial part to Australia’s amazing ODI World Cup success. Despite playing each of the three forms of cricket, Warner has shown no indications of slowing down and is among the sport’s healthiest players.

Warner answered a fan on Thursday who asked him to represent Australia during the 2027 World Cup. David Warner responded to the fan with a joke as he said, “2031”. When the ODI World Cup 2027  takes place in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia, Warner will be 41 years old.

Warner, meanwhile, praised Virat Kohli’s health and stated that he may play for India at the 2031 World Cup. He wrote to a fan that he thinks Kohli can play the ODI World Cup 2031, as he said, “No reason why he can’t, he is very fit and loves the game so much.”

Virat Kohli went on a record-breaking batting rampage during the 2023 ODI World Cup. In 11 matches, Kohli scored an incredible 765 runs, including two hundreds and six fifties. With this incredible feat, he broke the previous record held by his boyhood hero, Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin had made 673 runs while playing in the 2003 World Cup. For the longest time possible he had the record for the most runs during a single World Cup edition.

India’s loss to Australia in the World Cup final in Ahmedabad prevented Kohli from winning another World Cup trophy. Despite his individual achievements and being selected as the Player of the Tournament, he could not add the title to his cabinet.
