The two-time champions, Kolkata Knight Riders hold the record for the most consecutive victories in the Indian Premier League. During the 2014-15 season, the Knight Riders won ten consecutive games. Their winning streak began after a disastrous start to their 2014 campaign, which saw Gautam Gambhir’s team lose 5 of their first 7 games.
The rampage began on May 7, 2014, with an eight-wicket victory over the Delhi Capitals. Following that, KKR went from match to match and eventually won the IPL trophy for the second time. KKR began their 2015 season where they left off in 2014, defeating the Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets at the Eden Gardens. Although, their dominance ended as they were defeated by RCB by 3 wickets in their next game.
