With the mini-auction done and dusted, the ten teams will now be preparing for the upcoming season of the Indian T20 League. The auction room in Kochi saw some great action as teams got into a few bidding wars. The all-rounders were in great demand in the auction and went for hefty prices. While some of the teams had a great day and built a squad as per their requirements, others did not have the best day. The Hyderabad team had the most money left going into the auction and was expected to have a successful day. They did not, however, plan properly and did not target the big names. They did manage to get some good players for the season, but they lack quality match-winners.
The other challenge they face for the upcoming season is the captaincy. Having released Kane Williamson earlier, Hyderabad were looking for a new leader, and they managed to buy Mayank Agarwal. However, there is no guarantee as to who will lead the team in the upcoming season.
