Kolkata, like Hyderabad, had a bad day at the auction, failing to land any big names. In addition, the team was unable to address their major issues of finding an opener and a wicketkeeper. They also do not have many backups on their team.
The biggest positive for the Kolkata team is their bowling lineup. Kolkata will look to get some good results with the ball now that Shardul Thakur and David Wiese have been added to the team. It remains to be seen how they manage their playing XI for the season.
