As he enjoys the success of his most recent movie, ’12th Fail,‘ Vikrant Massey has revealed his upcoming project. The film, titled ‘The Sabarmati Report,‘ will chronicle the tragic fire that destroyed the Sabarmati Express in Godhra, Gujarat, on February 22, 2002, precisely twenty-two years ago.
Vikrant Massey released a brief video to promote the movie. He portrays Shraban Kumar, a journalist covering the Godhra incident, in the video. He stammers as he reads on the teleprompter that it was an accident before adamantly asserting that it wasn’t.
The actor shared the teaser with the caption, “Paying homage to the 59 innocent people who lost their lives in the Godhra train burning incident 22 years ago, today. Introducing ‘The Sabarmati Report,’ which opens in theatres on May 3, 2024. (sic)”

With the success of his most recent film, 12th Fail, Vikrant Massey is sulking. With Vikrant in the lead role, Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s film 12th Fail is based on the life of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma.
Celebrities including Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut, and many more have praised the film, which debuted on OTT (Disney+ Hotstar) in December 2023 after being released in theatres in October 2023.
In addition to Massey, ‘The Sabarmati Report’ will also star Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra. The movie, which has a director of Ranjan Chandel and producers of Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan, and Anshul Mohan, will be released on May 3.
The second part of ‘Haseen Dillrua’, ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba‘, is scheduled for release in 2024 and features Vikrant in addition to The Sabarmati Report.
