The England and Wales Cricket Board’s newest invention ‘The Hundred’ is back again to enthral the crowd with its riveting action. The second season of the competition began on Wednesday night as Welsh Fire and Southern Brave got head-to-head against each other.  Southern Brave emerged victorious in the opening encounter of the tournament winning the match by nine wickets.

The action continues today with Oval Invincibles and London Spirit going against each other at the Kennington Oval, London at 11:00 pm IST. Both the teams have prepared a star-studded lineup in the player’s draft earlier this year and will be raring to go in the game tonight.

Oval Invincibles

The Invincibles had a good tournament in the inaugural season of ‘The Hundred’ as they finished in the fourth position on the points table. They finished with nine points after having four wins in eight matches. They missed out on a place in the Eliminator by 2 points.

They have some big international players in their squad such as Sam Billings, Sam Curran, Sunil Narine and Jason Roy in the team.

The London Spirit team had a forgettable first season in the tournament as they finished last on the points table with a single win under their belt. They lost six out of their eight games and one match was abandoned.

They also made several notable inclusions in their squad in the player’s draft. Their team also boasts of a star-studded lineup having the likes of Mark Wood, Glenn Maxwell, Eoin Morgan and Kieron Pollard in their team. London will be looking to forget their horror show last season and will start afresh tonight. They will be eager to start off with a blast and have the valuable 2 points under their belt with a win in their opening match.
