Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah’s film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya debuted in theatres on Friday and brought in ? 6.50 crore net on its first day, according to Sacnilk. The movie, which stars Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in the lead parts, had an 8.80% occupancy rate in the morning shows. The night shows had the highest occupancy rate, at about 25.46%. Another Sacnilk report states that Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya made ? 1 crore from the sale of 45678 tickets on day 1 through advance reservations throughout India.
The story of an engineer (played by Shahid Kapoor) who falls in love with Sifra, a female AI robot (played by Kriti Sanon), is told in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. This leads to a comedy of errors. Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar are supporting the movie. Aradhana Sah and Amit Joshi both directed the movie. Saibal Chatterjee, a film critic for NDTV, gave the movie 1.5 stars out of 5 and stated, “All the song and dance and the desperate attempts to poke fun at yourself do not really pay off. The movie depends excessively on the chemistry between Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor to get through its enormously large holes. But the movie is not even mildly entertaining, as its progress is comparable to that of a subpar automaton purchased from the black market.”
Talking about the storyline, Aryan, played by robotics engineer Shahid Kapoor in the movie, is the protagonist and resides in India with his family. But while visiting his aunt in America, he encounters Kriti Sanon’s portrayal of Sifra, a highly advanced human-robot, and it completely changes his life. The teaser reveals Aryan’s romantic relationship with the robot and how things progress while Aryan’s family is in the background.
It’s undeniable that Shahid Kapoor is the star of this show in terms of performance. It was fun to watch the actor in a romantic part, and seeing him dance was definitely one of the best parts of the movie. But in the part of a human-robot, Kriti Sanon looked breathtakingly beautiful and incredibly attractive. She doesn’t see the entire movie, just the climax.
