History was scripted on Wednesday by the Lok Sabha as the Bill reserving a third or 33 per cent of seats for women in national and state legislatures. The bill was passed with an overwhelming majority. Let us tell you, this bill grants one-third of the seats to women in both Lok Sabha and state assemblies. Also, Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam is the first bill passed by the Lok Sabha as it has shifted to the new Parliament building on Tuesday.
