KS Bharat and Ravindra Jadeja have batted ahead of Shreyas Iyer in the ongoing fourth Test against Australia.

Shreyas Iyer

India batter Shreyas Iyer is said to have complained about back pain in the ongoing fourth BGT test. When the team was fielding in the first two days of the game, he fielded at various positions. However, on Day Three when Shubman Gill got out after scoring a century, Iyer was expected to walk out as the third wicket had fallen.

However, the team sent Ravindra Jadeja out to bat with former skipper Virat Kohli. At the time, it was believed that the team wants a left-hand, right-hand combination. They put together 68 runs before Jadeja was caught at mid-on in the ongoing first session of Day Four. At this point, it was expected that Iyer will come out to bat. However, wicketkeeper batter KS Bharat has been sent out.

Now, it is said that the right-hander, Iyer had complained about back pain and had gone to a hospital for scans. At the time of writing, Kohli and Bharat are batting at the crease with India scoring 335/4, trailing by 145 runs.

Shreyas Iyer had a back injury ahead of the New Zealand series

Even though it is not an injury as of now, it will be interesting to see whether he would be able to take part in the game or not.

Also, he is being named in the squad for the three-match ODI series against the same side.
