The second edition of the Road Safety World Series began on Saturday as India Legends took on South Africa Legends in the opening encounter. The second day of the tournament promises to be even more entertaining with two matches lined up for the crowd. The first match will be played between Bangladesh Legends and West Indies Legends while the second game will be between Australia Legends and Sri Lanka Legends. Both the matches will be played at Kanpur.
Bangladesh Legends
Bangladesh Legends finished on the last spot in the first edition of the league. They will be looking to improve their performance under the leadership of Shahadat Hossain.
West Indies Legends
The West Indies legends managed to reach the semi-finals of the inaugural edition of the tournament. They were beaten by India in the semi-finals who went on to win the competition. The team led by cricket legend Brian Lara will look to go one step further and clinch the title this time around.
Sri Lanka Legends
Sri Lanka legends went on to reach the finals of the first edition but ended up losing the all-important game against India. The team led by Tillakaratne Dilshan will look to go one step ahead and win the title this year. Dilshan was the star performer with both bat and ball in the first edition. He finished as the highest run scorer as well as the highest wicket taker of the tournament.
Australia Legends
After pulling out from the first edition due to Covid, Australian legends will be eager to leave a mark on the competition this time around. They’re led by Shane Watson this season and have stars like Brett Lee, Stuart Clarke and Brad Haddin in their team.
