The second season of the Road Safety World Series is about to get underway today with defending champions India Legends locking horns against South Africa Legends at Green Park, Kanpur. The eight-team tournament will feature the retired legendary cricketers from countries like India, Sri Lanka, South Africa, England, New Zealand, Bangladesh, West Indies and Australia.

Meanwhile, Indian all-rounder Suresh Raina, who recently retired from all forms of competitive cricket has joined the defending champions India Legends in Kanpur for the series opener against South Africa Legends. There were videos circulating on social media which indicated that Suresh Raina has already started to put in the hard yards for the showpiece event.

He shared a video of sweating out at nets ahead of his debut in the star-studded tournament. In the video, Raina can be seen batting in the nets and attending the shoots for the tournament.

Raina posted the video with the caption, “All set for the RSWS. Team #IndiaLegends”. Notably, Raina added a popular song by the late singer Sindhu Moose Wala in the background of the video. While Raina’s post instantly went viral on social media, West Indies great and batter Brian Lara commented on the video urging the former Indian cricketer to come easy against West Indies Legend. “Take it easy on us”, wrote Brian Lara.

Suresh Raina is one of the gentlemen players in the game of cricket. The swashbuckling left-handed batter announced his retirement from all forms of the game and ceases to be an Indian Cricketer. He will be the hot favourite in the T20 Leagues around the world as several top leagues have already been in talks with him. He was a champion player in the middle order with the bat for India and was a gun fielder and more than a useful option with the ball.

The fans will be excited to see him in India Legends colours come the 10th of September.
