Virat Kohli, the poster boy of Indian cricket, is widely considered one of the greatest batsmen to have ever graced the game- the 34-year-old’s sensational records speak for themselves. However, some have criticized him for his attitude on the field, perceiving him as a ‘misunderstood character.’ Sri Lankan cricketer Chamika Karunaratne recently shared a picture with Kohli on Instagram, along with a thoughtful caption that summed up the Indian captain’s attitude.
In the opening match of the ODI series against Sri Lanka, Virat Kohli made a strong start, scoring his 45th century in the 50-over format as India secured a convincing victory. Although he was unable to maintain his form in the second ODI, falling short of a hat-trick of centuries, expectations remain high for him to reach the milestone again in the upcoming third ODI.
Ahead of the final match of the three-match ODI series Sri Lanka cricketer paid a brilliant tribute to teh Indian batter, acknowledging his skill and impact on the game. He wrote, “People say it’s arrogance, they say it’s for the cameras, some say it’s for the show. The legend says he sees HUNGER. He says as long as there is hunger to be the best. You will WIN.”
