India and Pakistan have played two high-intensity matches in the Asia Cup 2022 with both having one win to show for it. Sunday, 4th September brought the two together for their second clash in the continental tournament. The Men in Green were able to take revenge for their previous loss on the back of a great all-rounded performance.
Although India lost the match, many fans were content with the way they batted and bowled. Few misfields and a dropped catch took the game from India but the fans were happy with the entertainment that the India- Pakistan game provided.
Following the match though, England’s Barmy Army stirred up a hornet’s nest with their tweet on India- Pakistan rivalry. The latest tweet that is getting bombarded with both India and Pakistan fans alike read, “Ashes> India vs Pakistan anyway”
Ashes > India vs Pakistan anyway

This tweet stating that the England–Australia rivalry in the Ashes is better than the India-Pakistan rivalry hasn’t gone down well with the Asian fans. Let’s look at how India and Pakistan fans reacted to the Barmy Army’s hot take on cricket rivalries.

Pakistan came up with an impressive win against India
As for the game, it was a repeat of the first match in terms of the entertainment factor with the results changing in Pakistan’s favour. Pakistan won the toss and asked India to bat first similar to what India did in the first match.
The Men in Blue finally turned up with the new aggressive approach that has been the talk among the cricketing fraternity. Both KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma started off with a flurry and took India past the half-century mark in no time. Despite losing the openers, India continued to play with the same intent with Virat Kohli leading from one end. The former captain produced back-to-back half-centuries and took India to an adequate total of 181 runs.
Coming on to chase the total, the Pakistan team played with renewed vigour and got past the finish line with one ball to spare. Mohammad Rizwan was again the top performer, with 71 off of 51 deliveries. The two teams still have two more matches to play before the first two teams advance to the Asia Cup Final on September 11th.
