The Independence day comes with a doubleheader in what is going to be another exciting day of cricket in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 tournament.
Bengaluru Blasters will play against Mangalore United whereas Gulbarga Mystics will go head to head against Hubli Tigers. Let’s look at all the details for both upcoming matches.
Match 17: Mangalore United vs Bengaluru Blasters
The first match on August 15th will see table-toppers Bengaluru Blasters go against fourth-placed Mangalore United. Both these teams, however, have similar points (6) in the tournament so far.
Bengaluru Blasters have blown hot and cold throughout the tournament so far, winning three and losing two of their matches. After winning back-to-back matches, the Bengaluru team lost their last one against Mysore Warriors.
The Mayank Agarwal-led side has shown strong batting performance in the league so far but the bowling is one department that needs to be consistent.
Mangalore United have won three out of their four matches and look equally impressive if not more than the BB team. After winning the first three matches, the MU tasted defeat against the BB side when they met in match 9. MU’s batting as well as bowling failed massively in the last match and captain Ravikymar Samath would be looking to change that.

Match 18: Gulbarga Mystics vs Hubli Tigers
Gulbarga Mystics have six points from their four matches as they have won three and lost just one in the tournament so far. Hubli, on the other hand, are at fifth with four points from two wins and three losses.
The last time these two met, GMY was able to easily defeat the HT team by a massive nine wickets. Having restricted HT at 145/8, the GMY team reached the target in just 16.4 overs on the back of Devdutt Padikkal and Rohan Patil’s half-century.
HT would have to show massive improvement in both bowling as well as batting if they’re to win this next match in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20.
