Prior to the Asia Cup later this month in Sri Lanka, star Indian batter Virat Kohli is taking a break and vacationing in Alibaug with his wife, Anushka Sharma. The power couple is in Alibaug working on building a new home on eight acres of land.
According to The Economic Times, the couple jointly purchased the house in two separate transactions. The investigation also disclosed that the 2.54-acre and 4.91-acre land parcels cost them roughly Rs 19.24 Cr. Alibaug is renowned for hosting prominent Bollywood actors and actresses. For the completion of the sale, which was recorded last week, Kohli and Anushka spent a stamp duty of Rs 1.15 Cr.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma bought an 8-acre tract of land in Zirad, Alibaug, around the same time last year. The announcement was a major topic of discussion at the time. Although Virat and Anushka wished to maintain their personal matters private, the information was nevertheless leaked.
The site was purchased through Samira Habitats and is located in one of Zirad’s most picturesque areas, Alibaug Hills. After waiting for a year, Virat and Anushka reportedly started work on their home on Sunday.
Kohli will now be a member of the Asia Cup team and report to the training camp on August 23 in preparation for the sub-continent-based competition. He would be crucial to India’s success in this campaign and would look to avenge India’s early exit from the tournament last year.
In the Caribbean ODI series, Kohli did not bat during the first game and rested for the following two. Both the next T20I series against the West Indies and the upcoming Ireland series, which begins on August 18, do not include Kohli.
The Asia Cup in Sri Lanka, a home ODI series against Australia, and the ODI World Cup 2023 are Kohli’s upcoming commitments with the Indian team. On September 2, an Asia Cup match between Kohli as well as Babar will take place in Kandy.
