‘Joote maarke bhaga denge India se’- Fans troll Navenn-uL-Haq as he silences Kolkata crowd during LSG encounter in IPL 2023

Naveen-ul-Haq has made his name in the ongoing IPL 2023, albeit in a bad way.

Afghanistan and Lucknow Super Giants medium pacer, Naveen-ul-Haq has managed to make his name albeit via controversies. It all started with his verbal spat with former India and Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper, Virat Kohli. In the reverse fixture between RCB and LSG in Lucknow, Haq, and Kohli had a heated battle with extended between Kohli and LSG mentor, Gautam Gambhir.

Since then, both, Kohli and Naveen have engaged in Instagram Story Battle against each other’s teams. Meanwhile, the Afghanistan international took it to Eden Gardens, the home of Gambhir during his stint with the Kolkata Knight Riders. In the second innings of the KKR vs LSG game, Rahmanullah Gurbaz tried to heave the ball over the leg-side boundary against Yash Thakur.

As the latter took the pace off the ball, the White Kookaburra took the edge of Gurbaz’s bat. The white ball flew to Ravi Bishnoi towards the 30-yard circle where Ravi Bishnoi was standing. On the other hand, Naveen also ran in for cover just in case the ball bounced off Bishnoi’s hands. However, as it turned out, the former Punjab Kings player did the job himself despite fumbling.

Meanwhile, after the leggie, Bishnoi took the catch, Haq ran towards the boundary line. He then gestured towards the crowd while putting a finger on his lips. The fans might remember Gambhir doing the same towards the Bangalore crowd. In that game, the Super Giants won the game by one wicket. After both, RCB and LSG played each other again in Lucknow, the Red Army, RCB returned the favor and won the low-scoring game.

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh-based side won the game by one run. With this, they have become the third team, after Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings to qualify for the playoffs. Now, either RCB or Mumbai Indians can qualify for the playoffs. On the other hand, fans are trolling Haq for his gesture.
