In the 68th match of the Indian Premier League 2023, Lucknow Super Giants faced Kolkata Knight Riders at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. While batting first LSG scored 176/8 in 20 overs with the help of Nicholas Pooran’s amazing batting performance. Pooran in his innings scored 58 runs off 30 balls with the help of four boundaries and five sixes.
However, while chasing the target KKR got a flying start as both openers added 61 runs for the first wicket. Jason Roy and Venkatesh Iyer started well as they hit 15 runs in the first and second overs. Meanwhile, Afghanistan pacer Naveen-Ul-Haq bowled the second over for LSG and conceded 15 runs. While bowling Kolkata crowd teased him once again with the Kohli-Kohli chants.

Notably, after his heated argument with Virat Kohli during a game against RCB at Ekana earlier this month fans have teased him a lot by chanting Kohli’s name. He was teased by his crowd in Lucknow during their last game against Mumbai Indians. However, Naveen didn’t take it away and asked the crowd to get louder.
KKR got a flying start in a do-or-die game
In the do-or-die game against Lucknow Super Giants KKR were asked to chase 177 runs in 20 overs. They got a flying start as both opener Jason Roy and Venkatesh Iyer added 61 runs in just 35 balls for the first wicket. Iyer in his innings scored 24 runs off 15 balls with the help of three boundaries and a six.
Meanwhile, Jason Roy in his amazing batting performance scored 45 runs off 28 balls with the help of seven boundaries and a six. Both were dismissed by Krishnappa Gowtham and Krunal Pandya respectively. Notably, KKR needs to chase this target in less than 17 overs to restrict LSG from finishing in the top 2 in the league stage.
