The Asia Cup 2023 schedule has finally been revealed after an unprecedented wait. Zaka Ashraf, the chairman of the PCB Management Committee, has presented the schedule for the ACC Asia Cup 2023 on Wednesday in Lahore after an event was scheduled on Wednesday. On Tuesday, a press release from the PCB announced that at 7:45 PM today, the event will begin and the Asia Cup 2023 schedule will be announced.
The Asia Cup 2023 schedule follows the hybrid model that was agreed by all nations earlier this month. The schedule has a total of four matches hosted in Pakistan along with nine in Sri Lanka with the tournament scheduled to be conducted from August 30 to September 17. This follows the approval of the hybrid arrangement by all cricket boards, including the PCB and the Indian Cricket Board. The ACC members, including India, accepted the hybrid model that Najam Sethi, the PCB’s interim chairman had recommended.
Both of the India-Pakistan games in the competition are expected to take place at Kandy, according to the schedule. The participating nations for the continental event are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, as well as Nepal.
India and Pakistan on September 2
Two groups will be present in the 2023 edition, and the top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Four stage. The final will then feature the top two teams who finished in the Super Four stage.
Pakistan will kick off the Asia Cup 2023 with a game in Multan against Nepal. India is set to play Pakistan on September 2 in Kandy and will then face neighbours Nepal on September 4 at the same venue. It has to be noted that, according to the schedule, India will finish second place in the group, even if they win both of their games while Pakistan will finish first in the group, in order to manage the logistical arrangements.

Irrespective of their positions after first round:
– Pakistan will remain A1; India will remain A2.
– If either of them (India or Pakistan) don’t qualify, Nepal will take their position.

– If either of them (Sri Lanka or Bangladesh) don’t qualify, then Afghanistan will take their position
