Pakistan opening batter Imam-ul-Haq has congratulated Sarfaraz Khan for his maiden India call-up for the ongoing England series. Ahead of the second Test starting on February 2, the Indian Cricket Board has announced the decision. The likes of all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and batter KL Rahul have been ruled out of the second Test in Vishakhapatnam. They have been replaced by the likes of Washinton Sundar, Saurabh Kumar, and Khan.
“Mr. Ravindra Jadeja and Mr. KL Rahul have been ruled out of the second IDFC First Bank Test against England in Vizag, starting February 02, 2024.
“Jadeja sustained a hamstring injury during play on Day 4 of the first Test in Hyderabad while Rahul complained of right quadriceps pain.
“The Medical Team is monitoring the progress of the duo.
“The Men’s Selection Committee have added Sarfaraz Khan, Sourabh Kumar, and Washington Sundar to India’s squad,” the Indian Cricket Board said in a statement.
