Virat Kohli, the Indian great has been hitting the headlines of late and it comes on the back of his stupendous performances post his comeback from a month-long break. After proving his prowess in the Asia Cup in September, Kohli, who single-handedly took India home in the clash against Pakistan on October 23 in the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022, continued his form in the clash against Bangladesh on November 2, Wednesday as well.
As things stand, Shoaib Akhtar, the former Pakistani pacer, said that the tournament wanted to witness the rise of the Indian veteran and added that the batter will score more runs for India in the upcoming days. “This T20 World Cup is all about Virat Kohli. Today also, he made 64 runs and India made 184. If God wills it, then it happens,” said Akhtar on his YouTube channel.
“He was down for about three years and now he’s the top-scorer of this T20 World Cup. The World Cup is being played for him only,” said Akhtar on his YouTube channel. “I’m sure of this now. I’m also sure that he will continue his stellar run of form and score even more runs in the coming days for India. Having said that, I think India played really well and deserved to win today,” said the former pacer further.
I request the staff and fans not to make such videos: Akhtar
Commenting on the batter’s Crown Perth privacy row, Akhtar said that it was immoral for the hotel staff to take videos of his room. Further, the fiery pacer requested the fans to not indulge in such disgraceful activities and added that it would affect their personal life of Kohli.
“I think Virat Kohli has been amazing and brilliant. Plus, his video that came out yesterday regarding his hotel room. We also stay in hotels all the time, so I request the staff and fans not to make such videos. You invade his personal life, showing his personal stuff on the video. Some people are staying with their wife and kids. But I was happy to see that he is very tidy. Everything is arranged properly. That goes to show the mannerism of the man,” Akhtar added.
