The landscape of the Tennis world is changing. Time is the greatest healer and as the wheel of time keeps moving forward things keep evolving. Careers are born, made, and they also to come to an end. This always happens in the world of sports, and it similarly happens in the hallowed sport of Tennis.
The sport of Tennis has seen legends keep coming up every few years and make a name for themselves. Legends such as Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Pete Sampras, and Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic have become great superstars of the sport. Many rivalries have been formed, over the years, and one of the most famous rivalries have been that of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. It will now come to an end as Roger Federer has announced that he will be playing his last match at the Laver Cup on Monday.
This will bring the curtains down on one of the most hard-fought rivalries in the world of tennis. The King of clay and the maestro of grass have always loved playing against each other. They have immense respect and love for each other on and off the tennis court and have admired each other’s game immensely.
When the news broke out that Roger Federer was going to announce his retirement from the world of Tennis, Rafael Nadal was teary eyed and put out a very emotional message that mentioned why the Swiss great was celebrated as an icon and also that Nadal never wanted this day to come.
In the post, another funny thing happened. Accidently, he tagged himself in the post and made himself the location of the post. This left the netizens in splits, and they had a hearty laugh. Twitter was abuzz, let us take a look at the reactions here:
