His Test career saw him score 6215 runs in 99 matches at an average of 45.04, including 22 centuries and 21 half-centuries. However, the man failed to represent India for the 100th time due to fixing issues.

Despite his remarkable contributions to Indian cricket, Azharuddin faced a tumultuous period in 2000 when he became embroiled in the match-fixing scandal. Forced to stay away from the sport, he has since received a clean chit, marking a redemption in his cricketing legacy.

In ODIs, Azharuddin amassed 9378 runs in 334 matches, displaying an average of 36.92 with 7 centuries and 58 half-centuries.
