Determined not to be left out of Europe’s main competition, he reportedly has a clause in his contract that allows him to go on loan to Newcastle United if they qualify for the Champions League this season, as they are owned by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund.

Lionel Messi is the only player capable of catching him anytime soon. With 129, the recent world champion is only 11 behind the Portuguese and 12 short of surpassing him.
Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United was terminated during the 2022 Qatar World Cup after he stated in an interview with Piers Morgan that he does not respect United coach Erik ten Hag. He and the club had already been at odds, and the interview was the final straw. United is now looking for a replacement forward.
