Cristiano Ronaldo to be banned from making his debut for Al-Nassr on Thursday: Reports

Cristiano Ronaldo, the star Portuguese footballer, was roped in by the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr for a whopping INR $1,770 crore annual contract and the fans went crazy saying that the legendary footballer lost his legacy by refusing to sign for a club from Europe. However, on the other hand, many of his ardent fans claimed that he could succeed and reign wherever he wants to go.

While many are awaiting his debut match for Al-Nassr, Ronaldo’s act during the match against Everton last April at Goodison park could come to haunt him after almost 9 months. To add more, post the conclusion of the game which Manchester United lost, Ronaldo was seen clipping off a mobile phone from Everton fan Jacob Harding’s hands, eventually causing bruises on the latter’s hands, as claimed by his mother Sarah Kelly.

The English Football Association, who investigated the matter, hit the legendary player with a fine of $50,000 and a two-match ban on November 17. With the FIFA World Cup 2022 beginning right at that time, it struck a chord post news of the footballer’s debut for Al-Nassr that he is yet to serve the ban.

Reports rock Cristiano Ronaldo’s debut excitement

On January 5, Thursday, Al-Nassr will take on Al-Ta’ee in the Saudi Pro League and the Daily Mail reported that the FIFA regulations provide that the ban would carry over to Al-Nassr, meaning that he will be barred from making his debut until the next two matches. Ronaldo commented on the incident earlier and claimed that he was unaware of what the boy was holding.

With tickets sold out for Thursday’s clash, Al-Aalami’s fans were in the hope to witness the first appearance of the striker, only to be rubbed off with the shocking reports that claimed about his ban. If at all Ronaldo gets banned for the next two matches, it will be a wait for the fans, until he gets freed of the ban and gets to play for the new club.
