The Rohit Sharma-led side have played great cricket and have shown that they can punch above their weight in IPL 2023 and make it to the playoffs. MI finished fourth in the league stage and also beat Lucknow Super Giants by 81 runs in the eliminator. The young Indian uncapped players have stepped up for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023

It is interesting that he did not pick CSK or MI as they have been a wonderful unit this IPL. The Paltan were hit by injuries at the start of the season but their Indian players stepped up with bat and ball stepped up and made the difference. The likes of Tilak Varma, Nehal Wadhera, Akash Madhwal and the likes. Veteran Piyush Chawla picked up 21 wickets so far in IPL 2023 with an average of 21.43.

MI had an up-and-down start to the season, but the Paltan turned their season around and their Indian batting lineup did very well, especially at the Wankhede Stadium where they chased down a lot of totals batting second at home. The 2023 IPL is coming to an end as there are the last two games left which will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium at Gujarat.  GT won the IPL in 2022 in their debut season.

This edition has been absolutely brilliant to watch. Since all the teams are playing home and away after a three-year gap. They were not able to turn their home grounds into fortresses like always.  The IPL has been a big part of the Indian cricketing ecosystem since 2008.
