All you need to know about BGMI Master Series Season 2

BattleGrounds Mobile India is going to be back for another season and it is expected to be an exciting one.

BGMI

The second edition of the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS), which boasts a massive prize pool of over $250,000, was created by Nodwin Gaming and Star Sports. 24 Indian teams will compete in the event, which will start on August 4, 2023. At 9.30 PM IST, it will be live-streamed on Rooter and Star Sports Network.

The remaining 10 teams will be chosen from the Open Qualifier, while the organisers are inviting 14 teams automatically to the competition. The 14 invited teams’ names, however, have not yet been made public. Any Indian team is eligible to participate during the Open Qualifier to secure a seat in the BGMS Season 2 competition.

The competition is a LAN event that will last for 22 days. It will be aired in English, Tamil, and Hindi by Star Sports. Soul, GodLike, Orangutan, and more well-known teams were originally invited to participate in the BGMI Masters Series S2. While others will compete in the Open Qualifiers to advance to the main competition despite not being invited.

The prize pool for Season 2 has been increased by 50,000 more than what was offered during  Season 1, which ran from June 24 to July 17, 2022. Global Esports, who made a tense turnaround during their last few matches, was the indisputable winner of the BGMS S1. The members of the winning team, however, have since left the company.

Teams and their Preparations

Following a closed competition, GodLike Esports emerged as the second-best performer in the initial iteration. The Shadow-led team trailed the champions by just four points. Jonathan, a seasoned BGMI player, became the Finals MVP as well as leading Damager there. The Kronten-owned team, however, just added Spower to the unit in response to a decline in the way they performed in recent months, and they now plan to win the championship this time around.

Since Orangutan did not add any new players to their roster, they will use the same lineup as the previous competition, where they finished third. This year, Team Soul, who finished sixth during the 2022 campaign, will try to win the championship.
