In the ongoing ACC Women’s T20 Championship 2022, Bahrain Women will take on Hong Kong Women in the 9th match on Sunday. Bahrain lost the first game they played and thus are sitting at number three on the table. On the other hand, Hong Kong won their first game and are sitting at second on the Group B table.
Bahrain played their first match against Kuwait and managed to score 40 runs in 6.1 overs. The match was canceled thereafter and it ended in a no-result game. Tharanga Gajanayake remained unbeaten on 15 off 19 balls, while Deepika Rasangika played an unbeaten knock of 10 runs in 11 balls. Bahrain have a pretty solid batting unit and one would expect them to play well in the next game.
On the other hand, Hong Kong won their first game against Bhutan by 14 runs and would look to continue the winning momentum. Batting first, Hong King managed to score 102 runs in the first innings.
Mariko Hill opened the innings and managed to produce a handy knock of 40 runs in 36 deliveries, including 3 fours. Kary Chan (15 off 14) and Yasmin Daswani (15 off 28) made handy contributions as well.
With the ball, Sonam picked 2 wickets for 23 runs in 4 overs. Besides, the rest of the bowlers picked at least one wicket. With both sides filled with star players, you a great contest on Sunday.
