India wicketkeeper batter, Rishabh Pant was seen leaving an airport in a recent video that is going viral. Since December 30, 2022, he has missed the game due to a near-death accident. While leaving for his home in Uttarakhand from Roorkee, Pant met with a massive accident in the wee hours of that day. The left-hander was saved by a driver who had no idea who he was saving.

Since then and till February this year, the former India U19 player was getting treated and didn’t leave the hospital bed once. The wicketkeeper batter started walking only in February this year. By then, he was ruled out of the ongoing IPL 2023 and the upcoming Test Championship final against Australia. In the ongoing tournament, David Warner led the Delhi Capitals side in place of Pant.

The team was the first to be ruled out of the playoffs race and will finish ninth as they have 10 points to their name. Talking about the Test Championship final, he has been replaced by Ishan Kishan in the team. Meanwhile, Pant’s video of leaving an airport has been going viral on the internet.

Rishabh Pant is also ruled out of cricket for 2023

Even though there is a lot of time left in the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 in India, Rishabh is set to be ruled out. Among the injuries he sustained, he had two injuries on one of his knees. Given the nature of the injury, it is wise he rather not play the tournament before recovering or his career might end soon.

Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi was also rushed by his team before the 20-20 World Cup 2022. On the day of the final against eventual winners, England, Afridi’s knee injury aggravated that ruled him out of the game till Pakistan Super League 2023 (PSL). It will be interesting to see when Pant makes his comeback in the game.
