‘Aap mein or hum mein fark yehi hai’ – Fans tear apart Pakistan PM over his indirect dig team India

Pakistan and England will face-off against each other on Sunday in the finals of the 20-20 World Cup 2022.

Fans tear apart Pakistan PM over his indirect dig team India

With India facing a humiliating defeat against England in the semi-finals of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022 on November 10, Thursday, the Three Lions are all set to face Pakistan in the finals on Sunday at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, took to Twitter to take a dig at India and made a reference to the Men in Green’s 10-wicket win against the arch-rivals in the previous edition of the 20-20 World Cup 2022.

“So, this Sunday, it’s: 152/0 vs 170/0” Sherif tweeted on his official account. The tweet, however, received a lot of criticism as fans claimed that he was a public servant and must have refrained from tweeting the same.

For the unversed, the England team chased down the target of 169 in 16 overs on the back of an unbeaten 86 from Alex Hales and an unbeaten 80 from skipper Jos Buttler. Pakistan, who faced a humiliating defeat in the current edition against India, chased down the target of 152 for the loss of no wicket.

Irfan Pathan’s classy reply

Amused by the tweet from the Pakistan Prime Minister, Irfan Pathan, the former Indian allrounder, replied by saying that people in India find happiness within themselves. Further, the left-arm pacer said that the neighbourhood people were rather focussed on others’ problems, which eventually stopped the growth of their country.

“Aap mein or hum mein fark yehi hai. Hum apni khushi se khush or aap dusre ke taklif se. Is liye khud ke mulk ko behtar karne pe dhyan nahi hai (This is the difference between you and us. We are happy with our happiness and you are happy with other’s problems. That’s why there is no focus on improving one’s own country),” Pathan tweeted in reply.

As things stand, the Indian team would hope to make a strong comeback in the next edition of the 20-20 World Cup to be held in 2024. But prior to that, the Men in Blue will have their eyes fixed on the upcoming 50-over World Cup which will take place in India in 2023.

Let us take a look at how fans reacted to Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif’s tweet:
