The three-day pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani, the son of India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, held in Jamnagar, Gujarat, have drawn a number of cricket players. The event is expected to be a star-studded occasion with attendees from a variety of fields, including Bollywood, Hollywood, business, politics, and sports. Among the guests for the wedding will be India cricket team skipper Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Dwayne Bravo, Sachin Tendulkar, Zaheer Khan, and others.
Whilst, in the neighbouring country, Pakistan, their cricket tournament is also taking place. The ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League is currently underway. It is believed that some of the overseas players who are close to the Ambani family have departed from the tournament to attend the wedding festivities. 3) Tim David

The Australian big hitter was one of the biggest overseas stars in the Pakistan Super League last year. However, he was released after the retention list for the ongoing season came out. There was no information as to why he had been removed from the squad, despite having some terrific performances for the Multan Sultans in the past two years.
One of the reports also claims that David’s busy schedule due to international and franchise commitments can be one of the reasons for his non-participation in the Pakistan Super League. However, he was seen arriving in Jamnagar for the biggest wedding of the year along with other overseas teammates.
2) Rashid Khan

A number of prominent sports figures have been invited to the lavish Indian wedding. Afghanistan bowler Rashid Khan walked along SKY as he reached the celebrating site. The daring Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav and his wife Devisha Shetty had travelled to Jamnagar to attend Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities
In the previous three PSL seasons, Rashid has competed with Lahore Qalandars, where he won championships in 2022 and 2023. Prior to the December draft, he was signed by the team in the “silver” salary bracket. It was done despite knowing that he might not play this year but might be brought back for future. There is no clarity whether Rashid is fit to play competitive cricket or not as of now.

Among the several cricketers in attendance at the star-studded pre-wedding celebration of Indian tycoon Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant in Jamnagar on Friday, March 1 was former West Indies skipper Kieron Pollard. Interestingly, Pollard, who was playing for the Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He had to abruptly leave in the middle to attend the events in Jamnagar.
He has been previously linked to Reliance Industries Limited, the home of Mukesh Ambani’s Mumbai Indians. Pollard is currently a member of the franchise’s SA20 and ILT20 squads as well. Not just him, but a number of other players connected to MI teams in T20 competitions worldwide were also there.
