Last night in Mumbai, at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Awards, Kareena Kapoor came very close to her co-star and former boyfriend Shahid Kapoor from ‘Udta Punjab’. As fate would have it, the two celebrities met on the red carpet at the award show on Tuesday night. Shahid gave an awkward smile as the actress, who was wearing a stunning golden ensemble, spoke to his companion for a brief moment.
On the ‘Fida’ set in 2004, Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor got together and started dating. They dated until 2007 when they broke up to work on the blockbuster movie ‘Jab We Met’. The two have acted in a number of films, including ’36 China Town’, ‘Milenge Milenge’, and ‘Chup Chup Ke‘. Years after their split, they costarred in ‘Udta Punjab’ in 2016. But the two didn’t appear in a scene together in the movie.

When ‘Bloody Daddy’ was being promoted the previous year, Shahid Kapoor was asked to list one thing he would like to take or consume from Kareena Kapoor. “From her first film, she had a superstar quality that was special about her,” the actor remarked. Shahid was recently spotted by fans in ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’. ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya‘, written and directed by debutantes Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, stars Shahid as a man who falls in love and chooses to wed a robot named Sifra (Kriti Sanon). Reactions to the movie were not unanimous. Veteran actors Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia also appear in the movie.
