Shreyas Iyer won the best fielder award of the match for India in the match against New Zealand in the ODI World Cup 2023. In the third match against Pakistan, KL Rahul got the medal for his brilliant wicketkeeping in the match. In the fourth match of India in the tournament, Ravindra Jadeja bagged the medal against Bangladesh for the best fielding efforts in the match. The latest addition to the unique club is Shreyas, who was brilliant in the field against New Zealand.

In the last match, Jadeja’s name was uniquely revealed. On the big screen in Pune, the name of Jadeja was revealed as the winner of the medal. Now after the efforts against New Zealand, Iyer was celebrated uniquely. The winner of the award was revealed by a spider cam, which seemed unique. It was good to see players celebrating the award of Iyer as if they won it themselves.
These little things result in the morale of the dressing room. India’s tradition of introducing this medal has been a good move. Though India did not have the best of the days in the field as a unit, Iyer was the deserving candidate to grab the medal. India has been the best fielding side in the tournament till now.
