India’s veteran pacer Mohammed Shami has undergone a hair transplant ahead of the 2023 Asia Cup. Shami opted to go for a hair transplant, just 23 months after fellow countryman Rishabh Pant trolled him for his hair loss problem on his birthday. Actually, Shami felt bad about this and he got his hair transplant done.
The role of Shami in Asia Cup 2023 is considered important. He is an important part of the fast bowling unit of Team India. Alongside Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, he will crucial member of India. The Asia Cup 2023 is being started on 30th August. But Team India will start its campaign against Pakistan on September 2.

Shami’s hair treatment clinic claims to have performed the hair restoration and transplant procedure successfully, and videos have confirmed this claim. It’s worth noting that when the 32-year-old made his debut for India in 2013, when he already had a noticeable receding hairline.
Actually, 2 years back, Rishabh Pant had trolled Shami a lot on his birthday by telling the problem of hair loss. Wishing him on Shami’s birthday, Rishabh Pant wrote, “Hair and age are growing fast, Happy Birthday Mohammed Shami.” Replying to that “Apna time aayega son. No one can stop hair and age. But the treatment of obesity is done even today.”
In a video uploaded on YouTube, the veteran fast bowler claimed, “Overall, I felt really good because treatment is one thing, but the behaviour of the staff and the treatment process – everything was very good and all of them were very supportive. Now, let’s observe what happens.”
The 32-year-old has played 64 Test matches for Team India picking up 229 wickets. In ODIs, the deadly bowler has taken 162 wickets with an economy rate of 5.61. At the same time, in 23 T20 matches, this bowler has taken 24 wickets with an economy rate of 8.94. Ahead of India’s opening game is KL Rahul’s unavailability for the first two matches.
