The 20-20 World Cup is almost here and fans are desperately waiting for the mega event to get underway. The most awaited clash of the tournament is going to be the India vs Pakistan encounter on 23rd October at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Ahead of the mega clash, the apex cricket council shared a few glimpses of a photo shoot of both India and Pakistan captains Rohit Sharma and Babar Azam.

In the photoshoot both the skippers are seen having a good time as they share a laugh together. The short video also has funny audio which says, “What! Did we just become best friends?”

The fans are desperately waiting for the clash of the titans to get underway on 23 October. The rivalry between the two countries has been spiced up by Pakistan’s comprehensive victory in the last year’s encounter. Pakistan managed to chase down 152 without losing any wickets as they beat India for the first time in the history of the World Cup.

The two teams clashed recently in the Asia Cup 2022 twice. Both the matches turned out to be last-over thrillers. While the first one was won by India, Pakistan emerged victorious in the second one.

India will be missing two of their star players in the tournament as all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and seamer Jasprit Bumrah have been ruled out of the tournament due to injuries. Allrounder Axar Patel has been added in the place of Jadeja while Mohammed Shami has replaced Bumrah in the squad.

Shami last played a T20I in the previous edition of the world cup. He’s been once again presented with the opportunity of leading the Indian pace attack. On the other hand, Pakistan made a change in their World Cup squad yesterday by adding star batter Fakhar Zaman in place of leg-spinner Usman Qadir. The Southpaw had been going through a rough patch this year but the selectors have shown trust in his ability to perform in big matches.

Meanwhile, fans gave mixed reactions to the photo shoot of the two captains. Some were in awe of their friendship while some were bashing them for being too close. Here’s how Twitter reacted to the photo shoot:
