This all-rounder from West Indies also won both T20 World Cups in 2012 and 2016 respectively. He was in the team for both these triumphs. In 2012, West Indies won the World Cup in Sri Lanka. They defeated the host nation by 36 runs. However, Russell got out on a golden duck.
In 2016, West Indies managed to win the World Cup against England in India. It was Carlos Brathwaite who shattered the dreams of England at the Eden Gardens. Meanwhile, Russell again failed to contribute any. He scored only one run off three balls. Although, he took a wicket by conceding 21 runs in four overs.
