Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) met at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur in Match 37 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The coin went the way of RR and they opted to bat first. It was a great pitch at Jaipur as the batters made merry and feasted on the runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal made a well-crafted 77 off 43 balls with eight fours and four sixes. He was well supported by Jos Buttler, Dhruv Jurel and Devdutt Padikkal.
Meanwhile, a rare moment of MS Dhoni getting angry has made a lot of noise on social media. The images of him getting angry have flooded the internet. The incident happened in the third ball of the 15th over. It was a short ball that was on the stumps. Shimron Hetmyer tries to pull and swaddles but he does not time it. The ball just lobs in front of MS Dhoni. Hetmyer immediately called for the run but had to take a long route to get back to the crease.

By this time MS Dhoni threw the ball and was about to run Hetmyer out. However, it did not happen as Matheesha Pathirana got in the way of MS Dhoni’s throw which resulted in Hetmyer making it back safely. Dhoni was absolutely livid as Pathirana got in the way of the throw. MS Dhoni does not show aggressive nature on the field. This was one of the rear occasions that he did. The CSK skipper is called under the moniker of Captain Cool but on this occasion, he was definitely not his ‘cool self’.
RR had a good day with the bat as they racked up the highest total at the SMS stadium which was 202-5 in their 20 overs. Buttler scored a very slow 27 off 21 balls with four fours. Jurel made an impactful 34 off 15 with three fours and two sixes to give RR the perfect finish. Padikkal made a handy unbeaten 27 off 13 balls with five fours. RR had won the reverse fixture in Chennai by just 3 runs.
